Easy and Affordable DIY Hanging Portraits

We have been in our new home for a couple months now, and since I have week by week been gaining my strength and motivation back, we decided to try putting holes in the walls. I LOVE PUTTING HOLES IN THE WALLS GUYS! First it started with mounting the TV, then a floating shelf near our garage entrance… and now the photos I’ve always wanted – HUGE photos of all my babies (fur babies included.)

We are a military family, and while I value photography and printing portraits – we have to face the facts. We move a lot. Things get lost, damaged, or stolen in those moves. And we don’t have a lot of money. So what’s a girl to do on a tightassbudget? D. I. Y.

We started with a photoshoot with our littles (bribing all three with treats.) Once we felt like we had the photos we wanted up, I edit them in Lightroom (like I do with all my professional clients.)

Next we sent these bad boys to Staples to print in the size we wanted (they cost $15 each to print.) Hoped on Amazon (my mommy bff) and ordered three hanging frames (cheap, minimalistic, and have a higher chance of moving across the world with them.)

Today we hung them, and HELLO BIGGO BABIES! I’m so in love!

I’d love to hear what you think! If you try to recreate this idea, please tag me in your finished product – I’d love to see your magic!
